How to fight swelling

  • Stay hydrated

Drinking plenty of water is essential to flush out excess fluid and reduce swelling. Aim to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day.

  • Reduce salt intake

Sodium is known to cause fluid retention in the body, so it is important to limit salt intake. Avoid processed foods, which are often high in sodium, and choose fresh fruit and vegetables instead.

  • Get regular exercise

Regular exercise can help stimulate blood flow and prevent fluid retention in the body. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise every day, such as walking, cycling or swimming.

  • Lift your legs

If you experience swelling in your legs, raise them above your heart when possible. This can help improve circulation and reduce swelling.

  • Wear compression garments

Compression garments, such as compression socks or stockings, can help reduce swelling by applying pressure to the affected area.

  • Use products that cool the body

SILÉ body wraps are another effective way to reduce swelling and inflammation. These wraps work by constricting blood vessels, which helps reduce fluid retention and inflammation.

  • Dry brush massage

Dry brush massage is a technique that uses a firm, bristled brush to exfoliate and stimulate the skin. This massage technique helps improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, which can reduce swelling and promote overall health. To perform a dry brush massage, start at your feet and brush in upward strokes towards your core. Apply light pressure and avoid brushing sensitive areas or broken skin. Repeat the process for every part of your body, including your legs, arms and abdomen. Use the SILÉ Body Brush and enjoy shiny, exfoliated skin!
